Speaking of the bunker video, does anyone have a downloadable version of it? Did it make it to Rutube?
Reason I ask is, that as a non-JW, with some JW family (and friends, believe it or not), hopefully I can call their bluff when they say, "we don't shun!"
I also have some ins with local media, both print & broadcast. Just trying to spread the word. They're getting worse than Scientology. SS
Ok...listen up. Let's focus. Previous points about consolidating vids like this are great ideas. Distributing to media: great idea.
Here's the problem. Remember the original "Bunker Video?" It was promptly taken down by the Watchtower through US copyright laws, or the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act). Make no mistake, the same thing is very likely to happen to THIS VIDEO. I appeal to WIFIBANDIT, or anyone else who has a copy, to post it on Rutube...the Russian 'Youtube.' The Ruskies don't give a flying f*ck about U.S. Copyright laws, much less anything else about my beloved country.
Note that there are currently other 'secretive' JW vids residing on Rutube.
Check it out youselves. Click & scroll down (previously leaked elder's vids):
...and it's our duty to warn non-jws, or half awake jws about these events, as they start appearing in newspapers throughout the us, and abroad.
it almost comes out as a promotional ad for the jw convention.
the 'current events' editing staff of this paper likely has no idea what their promoting.

Here's one. It almost comes out as a promotional ad for the JW convention. The 'current events' editing staff of this paper likely has no idea that it's a high-control cult they're writing about. Totally clueless.
So far, no commentsย are under this article.ย
i just saw a video on fb, posted by a jw, which shows a bunch of kids singing to some recorded orchestral backup.
it was recorded last saturday, or sunday.,.
it almost looks like the kind of sunday school sing-a-long that you'd find at a 'normal' church.

it almost looks like the kind of Sunday School sing-a-long that you'd find at a 'normal' church. Nothing uber special, no choreography, or special costumes, YET many if the adults can be seen recording the 'event' on with the i-pads & cameras, as if it's the school play or something. Even the singing sounds off key, and off rythym, so it was obviously cobbled together by someone with little or no music background (Though, I guess window-washing requires a certain rythym).
Seriously though, anyone know what this might be about? It didn't look like a typical Kingdom Hall. More like a larger place. I think the kids came from 2 or 3 different congregations, but I'm not sure.
I had previously overheard a JW relative talking about an upcoming visit from a Bethelite, a few weeks back. Could it have been related to that? Or might it be a part of some pre-baptism indocrination for those kids? Btw--they were all dressed somewhat casual.
my wife is having her first birthday party in july, and we're looking for a place to hold it.
we found an episcopal church online that offered their fellowship hall for such occasions, and we went to check it out this morning.
when we arrived they were having something in the hall and were setting up for it.
The Episcopalians are a very liberal protestant group, with a Catholic style of organization. If they were to produce a kid's video about 'two mommies,' I can guarantee it would be the polar OPPOSITE of the one just released by JW.org. It would probably show the girl's mommy saying, "well sweetie, what's important is that the child has a loving family, with parents who support her. Remember what Jesus said about children in Matthew 19:14?"
Anyway, I don't think they were 'love bombing' in the cult sense. Maybe, a little, but they probably won't pester you with phone calls, or door knocking if you decide to sit in on one of their sermons.
My Church, a Disciples of Christ denomination, stopped by and dropped off a loaf of homemade bread at my house, soon after I first signed their guest book. And that was about it. Btw, the bread symbolizes communion, for EVERYONE (not a select few).
The United Methodist Church emails me their newsletter each week.
All in all, love-bombing or not, the one thing I've personally noticed, is that upon 'moving' to a different church...going from Methodist to Disciples, for example, I have never been shunned. I still go fishing with a couple guys from First Methodist, and my old pastor still smiles and says "howdy," whenever I see him out walking my dogs.
I think that churches/cults that engage in love-bombing are quick to flip the switch and do 'hate-bombing.'

With stories like this, and the teenage girl in her classroom video, and the homophobic vid about two mommies missing the next flight to Paradise, and all the manner of facts available online...it's any wonder that this religion is able to recruit ANYONE naive and ignorant enough to want to join up these days--from the outside, anyway.
I wonder if the homophobe vid makes it to the Ellen Degeneres show, or Colbert (he's straight, I assume, but would have fun with it nonetheless). ๐

In my comments, I brought up the many lawsuits, as well as the ARC, then tied it into a possible reason that the WTB&TS would want to inherit Prince's fortune.
Here's the actual article if anyone would like to read it, or perhaps join in the commenting spectacle. LoL.

it's not a bad piece of journalism, but there are definitely some gaps that need to be filled.
the pro-jw apologists have already started posting on it!
